Olam Scholarships – Sub Saharan African Students can Hope for A Better Future

Established in 1989, Olam has been expanding its activity across the globe being renowned as a leading agri-business operating company from seed to shelf. Olam is supplying industrial raw materials and supplying food to more than 23.000 customers in 70 countries. The company prides itself with the wide portfolio which includes 47 different agri-products grown, processed, manufactured, transported, traded and marketed by the company itself.

Briefly, Olam is a self-sustainable company eager to offer a great and valuable opportunity to students to become “self-sustainable” as well. With this purpose in mind and that of celebrating its 25th anniversary, Olam has initiated a Ph.D. scholarship program dedicated to Sub-Saharan African students committed to bring a change in their home country during their career. The internationally recognized universities which participate at the Olam scholarship program are: INSEAD Business School, Harvard Business School, The London School of Economics and Political Science, and Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy.

The Olam scholarship program operates in 24 African countries and is aimed at fostering business management, leadership and governance across the continent helping brilliant and capable students to pursue higher education in a reputable international university. The program will award up to 10 scholarships annually to students who select one of the following universities to complete their Ph.D. studies at:

Only candidates who are nationals of Sub-Saharan Africa (no matter which are their current countries of residence are) can apply for the Olam scholarship program. Entrants cannot apply through Olam instead they ought to access the website of the university they are interested to learn at and apply for the scholarship.
