This scholarship award is open to adult distance learners who wish to further their education with a degree in Master’s program, Doctoral programs, or Educational specialist degree program in Walden University.

The Walden University is located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The institution offers many degrees in a various academic fields. The Laureate Education Inc. owns and manages the institution. The Walden University was established in the year 1970.

The Walden University has been fully accredited since 1990 by the Higher Learning Commission which is a member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools – a regional accreditation agency.

Eligibility

As an interested applicant to this online degree scholarship, you must have been enrolled into the Walden University not later than January 2017.

Secondly, you must not be a citizen of the United States of America.

Thirdly, you must not be a staff of the Laureate Education Inc.

Fourthly, must not have received another award from the Walden University.

Finally, the applicant must make sure that they meet all the admission requirement of the institution, and be willing to fully participate in any publicity activity to promote the school, and its various programs.

Selection Criteria

As an applicant, you are required to call an enrollment advisor in order to be directed on how to fill and submit your application form.

You will also be required to write an essay (1,000 words or less). The essay should tell how you have contributed to enhancing social changes around you in positive aspect, how you have influenced people’s lives around you, how you successfully mentored a colleague, and the positive impact you have achieved in your community.

Applicants will also need to submit their CV or resume and fill the online application form.

Deadline

The winners of this scholarship award will be announced in mid-august 2017.

Worth of Scholarship

The scholarship will cover all tuition fee of selected candidate throughout their stay in the institution. The scholarship will be forfeited by the student if they change their degree program or withdraw from the institution to another.

The scholarship is not automatically renewed. Before it is renewed the following year, student must meet a satisfactory academic performance before they are deemed eligible for scholarship renewal.
