Up to 4 Years of Full Tuition and Many More Will be Offered to Smart Singaporean Graduates

Looking to study in an institution where the reputation precedes its name? Look no further! The Singapore-MIT Alliance for Research and Technology (SMART) is a big research enterprise established by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in collaboration with the National Research Foundation of Singapore (NRF) in 2007. SMART is the only MIT’s first and to-date research center outside the US.

Now brilliant students, just as you are, are called to give the best shots which will project them into a blossoming academic future. The institution offers you the possibility to choose one of the two SMART Interdisciplinary Research Groups that you would like to work with. They are: Future Urban Mobility and Low Energy Electronic Systems. Choose the project based on your research interest.

After applying, in case you want to compete for the SMART Graduate Fellowship considering that you have the academic skills appropriate to win this Fellowship you should follow these steps. Check the eligibility. First of all, you need to be a Singaporean who has graduated with an undergraduate degree with first class or second-upper. Also, you need to be an incoming new Ph.D. student who is not currently enrolled in a Ph.D. program.

Extremely important! You must be a new graduate student at one of the following universities: Nanyang Technological University, National University of Singapore, Singapore Management University or Singapore University of Technology and Design, who will conduct his research at the SMART Centre.  If you are the lucky winner, the 4-year fellowship provides 4 years of full tuition and school fees at your home university. Additionally, you will receive a monthly stipend of S$3,500.

After you make sure that you meet all the eligibility criteria established by SMART fill the application form. How do you find the application form? Choose one university on the list of universities displayed above then fill the admission form published on university’s official website.

The closing date for the application is December 31st 2017. Time is running so it is best to hurry as you will have to gather additional documents in order to send a complete folder.
