Scholarship Auditions for Foreign Students at Estonian Academy of Music and Theater

The purpose of the Estonian Academy of Music and Theater (EAMT) is to support the development of a human-centered society where a creative mind-set and the conservation of the Estonian language are promoted through education in the fields of Theater and music. The Academy values most the preservation of the Estonian values while, at the same time, being open to modern developments that characterizes the world of Theater and music.

Foreign students have now the possibility to penetrate the Estonian musical and theatrical culture and assimilate it. The Academy is offering scholarships to foreign students for BA and MA level for the 2017-2018 academic year. The Academy began as a mixed choir of the Estonia Society Musical Department on the eve of World War I which means that value at its most and encourages students to begin their personal academic journeys offering them aid.

The Academy is offering two types of scholarships. The EAMT scholarships for non-European students at BA and MA level and DoRa Plus program scholarships for foreign students at MA level. The EAMT award covers for non-European students at BA and MA a 50% of the tuition fee. The DoRa scholarship is offered to students at MA level which will be awarded for one academic year 350 EUR from September to June. Scholarships will be taken in Estonia.

The two scholarship programs request the following aspects to be met by entrants. The EAMT scholarships admission requests mention that the entrance examination results – for students admitted for the 2017-2018 academic year – should be at least 9 at BA level and 4 at least at MA level. The Eligibility requirements for the DoRa scholarships take in consideration MA 1st year and Ma 2nd year students who are not Estonian citizens, who are full-time students and had the entrance examination results at least 4 (for MA 1st year) and 3.2 (for MA 2nd year)

The following audition requirements should be taken in consideration by entrants: performers will have to present a live performance of at least 2 pieces with a total duration of 15 minutes. Other majors will have to present an artistic portfolio, including the personal list of artistic activities held in the last 2 years.
