The $1000 CreditSoup Scholarship for U.S. Citizens or Permanent Residents

Since 2000, CreditSoup has been providing its customers with info, tools, and credit products developing programs such as Free Credit Score, Credit Card Match, and Loan Match. These programs allow customers to navigate the various credit products and learn more about their credit. Credit Soup’s programs offer customers their free credit score as well as details about their score and other contributing factors that influence it.

As an extension of its activity, CreditSoup offers one scholarship worth $1,000 to a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. In order to be considered eligible, the student must be enrolled or enrolling as full time undergraduate student of accredited college/ university within the U.S with a min GPA of 2.5. The applicant should comply with the IRS rules in order to qualify for the tax-free benefits of the scholarship which are:

  • It does not exceed his expenses;
  • It is not designated for other purposes such as room and board;
  • It does not represent payment for teaching, research or other services.

Students who want to seize this opportunity must provide a brief essay between 400 to 800 words detailing the reason why they chose their major or the importance of their field of study. Their essay should reflect their personal thoughts and experiences that led them to their selected major.

The lucky winner will receive, as stated above, an individual scholarship valued at $1000. He /she will be notified via email and announced on the CreditSoup page and on the social media pages. In the application form, students will have to fill the blanks using their personal details, school information, a current transcript, and a verification of enrollment as well as the essay mentioned above. After all the required documents are gathered and all the fields are filled with required info, students can hit the submit button and send their scholarship application. Students are advised to hurry up with the admission procedure since the closing date for application is December 15th 2017.

REMEMBER! Only students who are U.S citizens or permanent residents are eligible to apply for the $1000 CreditSoup Scholarship.
