Ph.D. Scholarship in Sociology at Aalborg University, Denmark

After you complete your thesis, an assessment commitment will be appointed where you will have to present your thesis and be evaluated. The PhD degree is awarded if you have satisfactorily completed your research training and submitted your thesis. The Department of Sociology and Social Work invites applications for a 3-year Ph.D. scholarship in the field of sociology of emotions.

The Ph.D. scholarship in sociology has a duration of 3 years and, in order to apply, you must hold a Master’s degree equivalent to a Danish Master’s degree. In case a Ph.D. scholarship would interest you, you must submit the following documents in order to be considered:

  • A letter of motivation
  • Your project proposal which must not exceed 5 pages and must contain the research project title, an outline of the course of the study, and a description of the overall problem areas;
  • Your CV;
  • Information regarding the language the Ph.D. thesis is expected to be written;
  • Your diplomas confirming your academic degrees, including academic transcripts;
