The program is administered by College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. It is an integrated program leading to Master of Surgery (ChM). The program allow you to experience learning advanced modules highly relevant to the field of specialization. The curriculum of this program is based on the UK Intercollegiate Surgical Curriculum. Everything you learn from this program is highly relevant to fellowship track for the Royal College of Surgeons examinations.

The ChM Trauma and Orthopaedics and MSc Surgical Sciences together with the Lt. Col Jack Wishart are all intended for you to advance your medical professions. The academic programs are carefully crafted for immediate application to your medical duties. It is important for you to realize that scholarships for medical programs are just limited. Hence, you are very lucky if you are awarded of this scholarship program.

Do you what it takes? The Eligibility

You must be accepted for the ChM Trauma and Orthopaedics (Online Distance Learning) or the MSc Surgical Sciences (Online Distance Learning). You must be residing citizens from the following countries:

  • Belarus
  • Bulgaria
  • Czech Republic
  • Hungary
  • Moldova
  • Poland
  • Romania
  • Russia
  • Slovakia
  • Ukraine

Furthermore, you should have been offered a place at the university and accepted that offer. You are no longer eligible if you already commenced your study on the closing date.

Selection will be highly based on academic merits. Hence, you must highlight your exemplary academic achievements. On top of that, you should have earned a UK first class or 2:1 Honours degree or their international equivalent.

Things to Remember

You must not forget that application is open until the 1st of September. Application filed beyond the deadline will not be accommodated. Before you could apply for the scholarship program, you need to first apply for admission to the University of Edinburgh.

The Award

Once awarded, the program will contribute £500 annually to be credited to your tuition fees. The award will last for two academic years.
