Syngenta and INSEAD forged a partnership to provide opportunities for students from emerging market or economy countries to make a change. Syngenta is inspired on the idea that talented students will be the keys to solve the emerging business challenges of world. INSEAD shares the same idea. The mission of INSEAD is to educate the best and the brightest of students of the world. Realizing the peculiar situation of emerging market countries, Syngenta extends its helping hand from students from countries defined as emerging market. Snygenta is a large agribusiness corporation which headquarters is located at Basel, Switzerland. It is committed on the propagation and development of sustainable agriculture by tapping innovative research and technology. Snygenta possess a dominating market position on crop protection and high value commercial seeds market. Snygenta employs around 28,000 people from 90 countries worldwide. On the other hand, INSEAD is a graduate business school. INSEAD has campuses in France, Singapore and Abu Dhabi. INSEAD is a French acronym of “Institut Européen d’Administration des Affaires”. INSEAD offers MBA, Executive MBA, Master in Finance, PhD in Management, and executive education programs. INSEAD is often cited as among the best global MBA programs.

The candidate should demonstrate promising traits in academic, business, and advocacies. The scholarship program requires the candidate to possess promising academic orientation, promising talent and aptitudes on business management, and a strong heart of commitment to contribute for the better future.

Basically, the candidates should come from a country classified as emerging market or economy. The program requires that the candidate has been spending substantially their live on the said country. Ideally, the candidate is living on their home country classified as emerging market. The program values the industry experience of each candidate. It is also a crucial requirement for the candidate to prove that he or she needs financial assistance.

The scholarship is intended for MBA students.

Things to do

The candidate is required to write an essay discussing the following:

For 200 words, the candidate should discuss the requirements for successful business leadership in his or her country. The discussion should paint a picture on how the candidate will contribute on the meeting of the challenges after he or she graduated.

For 350 words, the candidate should briefly discuss the required measures to implement and leverage sustainable agriculture in the country or region in the context of urban and rural development.

Lastly, for 200 words, the candidate should illustrate in a concise but accurate manner the financial circumstances and the forecast of cash-flow for the year at INSEAD.

To apply, the candidate should file an online application and submit the essays together.

For the December 18 Class, round 2 will start at June 5, 2017. It will end on June 19, 2017.

The Perks

Two scholarships will be awarded per class. The amount of the award is at €22,500.
