The £2000 Social Sciences International Scholarship 2018

The University of Sheffield is welcoming students from across the world for the Social Sciences International Scholarship program. The university is a world top-100 university and a member of the Russell Group. The University is putting forth all the resources to help outstanding international students further their education and succeed eliminating the financial barriers. The university is pleased to offer Social Sciences International Scholarship to international undergraduate who are starting their studies in the Faculty of Social Sciences in September 2018. The worth of the award is £2,000 per year and only the following countries are eligible to participate in the scholarship competition:  https://www.sheffield.ac.uk/international/enquiry/money/ugsocialsciences.

Students whose home countries are displayed in the above link do not need to complete and additional submission for the scholarship. The scholarship will be awarded automatically in the first or any subsequent years. However, even if there is not needed any additional application, students must select a program of choice and apply for it. Students are advised to consult the admission requirements first which can be accessed here https://www.sheffield.ac.uk/undergraduate/apply/requirements.

Students whose first language is not English must provide by grade C or above in GCSE English Language or an acceptable English language qualification. It is highly important that students will be able to show that English is good enough to complete their course. Students can apply for an undergraduate course at Sheffield registering here https://www.ucas.com/ucas/undergraduate/register. Students must keep in mind that do not need to fill an additional application but in order to submit their application for the scholarship program must enroll in a program of choice. Applications for places on courses starting the following September must be submitted to UCAs between:

  • September 1st and January 15th to be guaranteed equal consideration with other applicants
  • January 16th and June 30th for further consideration
  • The applications for Medicine and Dentistry courses must be submitted between September 1st and October 15th.

Students whose applications exceed the closing date for the courses will not be considered. Also, incomplete applications will not be taken in consideration. We wish the best of luck to everyone with the application process!
