Full and Partial Scholarships for LLM in International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights at Geneva Academy

The field of law is rapidly growing as well as the number of students who are graduating law schools. They enter law school thinking they have a grasp on what it’s like to be a lawyer based on how good they are at arguing. While being a lawyer comprises a broader set of skills, inevitably their knowledge is not complete. And the questions are: “what does it mean to you to be a good lawyer?” and “do you see yourself become a good lawyer?”

The legal field is becoming more and more saturated as students begin to graduate from law school. This means that legal jobs can become scarce and only the best of the best will find jobs at big firms. But before focusing on your prospective career, the academic environment you choose plays an important role as well. While landing a job in this field might be demanding, winning a scholarship at a reputable university will surely open the gates for you.

One of the most reputable universities, a leading education and research institution in international humanitarian law (IHL), human rights (HR) and transitional justice, is Geneva Academy, Switzerland. Geneva Academy aims to attract some of the most experienced and academically qualified students from across the world. The academy offers three Master programs in International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights (LLM), Master of Advanced Studies in Transitional Justice, Human Rights and the Rule of Law (MTJ) and one Executive Master in International Law in Armed Conflict (Executive Master). These programs are unique and are equipped to provide students with strong background and practical tools to meet the contemporary challenges in these fields.

The LLM in International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights is innovative and challenging and students who opt for it are offered the opportunity to receive partial and full scholarships. The scholarships, both partial and full, are allocated through a highly competitive process based on academi merit, financial need, and extra-curricular achievements.

How can you apply? You need to choose an application track – without scholarship, with partial or with full scholarship – and complete the application form here https://www.geneva-academy.ch/masters/ll-m/start-an-application. Afterwards, you will have to upload the required documents. Then you can submit your application.

We hope that you will enjoy the application process and pay attention to all the requirements. Make sure you will not exceed the closing date which is January 31st 2018.
