Clarendon Fund is Available for DPhil Outstanding Students from Nigeria and Many More Countries

University of Oxford takes pride in having connections with every country in the world being renowned for the depth of its research activity and research collaborations. Oxford is also taking pride in the global student body that has been creating over time as well the academic stuff without which the university would not have achieved the purpose of transforming students into the leaders of today. Whoever chooses Oxford as the place of study, he or she knows that has headed towards professionalism, high-quality education, and vibrant campus life; an overall extraordinary experience which must be lived at its full potential.

University of Oxford repays all its outstanding students as any reputable university would do by facilitating a more financially unburdened student life for them. With this purpose the Clarendon Scholarships were created. With almost 4000 current students at Oxford coming from across the world, Clarendon is not only a financial help but it is also an aggregator, the biggest graduate scholarship community at Oxford. Clarendon scholars receive scholarships annually, being distributed more than 1000 available scholarships for the academic year 2018-2019.

Students who benefit of this scholarship are Ph.D. students (also known as DPhil, Oxford’s name for Ph.D.) The Clarendon scholarships go also to two-year graduate degrees – MPhil or BPhil – or one-year degree – MSc, MSt, MBA or MFE. The best students will be selected for the Clarendon scholarships based on academic criteria. The award will value in 2018-2019 at least £14,553, a generous annual grant which is sufficient to cover the living costs of a single student embracing the life in Oxford.

The duration of Clarendon scholarships is for a full-time period. However students must be prepared to pay their tuition fees to the University, which is normally the same as the length of their course. The current scholarship is providing the living costs while students must provide the fees for tuition.

How one can apply? If students will apply for a full-time or part-time Master’s or Ph.D. program at Oxford by January, they will automatically be considered for a Clarendon scholarship. The application process started in September 2019 and will end by January. Students will find the deadlines for their chosen courses here http://www.ox.ac.uk/admissions/graduate/courses.

We wish to everyone good luck with the admission process. Oxford is truly an academic place where students are transformed into the leaders of tomorrow.
