Fully- funded Gates Cambridge Scholarships – Support for Overseas Future Leaders

The Gates Scholarship program scheme was initiated in October 2000 by Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation which donated $210 million; its donation was being registered as the largest donation ever to a UK university.

Scholarships are awarded to students outside the UK who want to pursue a full-time graduate course in any subject available at Cambridge. It is important that students read carefully the admission requirements established for each and every course they select in order to confirm (or infirm) their eligibility. They can also check the deadline of the admission so that they will know when the required documents must be submitted.

Up to 40 awards will be offered to US students and 55 to International students. Scholarships cover the full cost of studying at Cambridge additionally providing discretionary funding. The core components of the scholarships are:

1. The composition fees;
2. An allowance for a single student valued at £14,900 for one year;
3. One economy single affair at the beginning and end of the course;
4. Inbound VISA costs as well as the cost of the Immigration Health Surcharge.

The closing date for applications is December 6th 2017 or January 4th, 2018 for International students.
