One scholarship up to $5.500 will be offered to a New Zealander student at the University of Waikato

The University of Waikato has launched The Bill & Joan Flower Agribusiness Masters Scholarship recognizing the relationship between it and Bill and Joan Flower due to their ongoing commitment to the university. The scholarship was aimed to offer support to graduate students willing to undertake research of 90 points (or more) in the field of Agribusiness. The thesis should be completed within a 12-month period.

Eligible students are the citizens or permanent residents of New Zealand who will be applying to enroll full-time in a research paper as part of their first master’s degree at the University of Waikato, with a major in Agribusiness. Only students who are holding an offer from the University of Waikato can apply. The amount offered is up to $5.500 being paid in the form of fees credit which will be applied directly towards the winner’s fees. The scholarship is awarded based on the entrants’ academic merit, with a minimum grade point average of A-.

The closing date for the application is October 31st biennially. For the admission process, entrants must complete the online application form and fill the personal statement which can be found here http://www.waikato.ac.nz/scholarships/application-forms/bill-and-joan-flower-agribusiness-masters-scholarship. Entrants must provide an academic reference from their proposed supervisors for the thesis paper they will be conducting or a member of the academic stuff at the institution at which they managed to obtain their qualification that defines their eligibility to enter the Agribusiness master’s degree program. Incomplete applications will not be accepted therefore it is important that students provide all the answers required in the application form.

IMPORTANT NOTE! The scholarship committee may end the scholarship at any time and regain any funds awarded in case the recipient is not following the approved program of study or is not complying with the regulations governing the Scholarship and/or the University of Waikato.
