Spread your wings and become a pilot at Brunel University London

Brunel University London is currently offering a wide array of bachelor’s and master’s degree programmes for students who are interested in pursuing a career in engineering, design, physical sciences, business, arts and social sciences, as well as health and life sciences.

Founded in 1966, the university prides itself with research institutes, as well as partnerships with leading European businesses. Brunel is a campus based university located in Uxbridge, London, enjoying a high student-teacher ratio (16.5) and a large community of international students (39%).

The university is offering multiple scholarships and grants to both local and international students, based on certain fields of study, grade performance, and country of origin.
One of them is the international scholarship for Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering 2017/18’. This applies to any student accepted in Brunel’s Bachelor’s or Master’s programmes in the fields of mechanical, aerospace, aviation, automotive, and motorsport engineering.

Eligibility for application

This scholarship applies to those who were accepted in one of Brunel’s undergraduate / graduate engineering programmes and starting their first year in September 2017. They have to be assessed by the university as an international student and inform UCAS that Brunel is their final choice for studying, by 20th of July 2017.

Furthermore, this will be awarded each academic year if the students will maintain an upper Second Class profile at the end of the first and second years.

Value and number of scholarships

  • 10 scholarships in 2017
  • £2,000 per academic year. Payment will be made for a maximum of three years for the full time bachelor’s students, and four years for the full time master’s.

Please note that this is just a partial scholarship and that the annual fees per degree range between £9,250 for EU citizens and £17,500 for international ones, which can all be paid in multiple instalments.

Enrolment requirements

Any EU or international student applying to one of Brunel’s programmes in the fields of engineering need to meet the following requirements:

  • Have an International Baccalaureate Diploma with 30 points, including 5 in higher level Maths and 5 in Physics.
  • Need to pass an internationally recognized test of English language proficiency.

Take into account that it is possible to apply for other scholarships and grants within the Brunel University, such as the ones offered for study excellence or the country specific one (a list of these countries can be found at: http://www.brunel.ac.uk/international/yourcountry ).

However, most of the applications for the year 2017 have been closed.
