Angling for Success with INTO University of East Anglia INTO Foundation Pathways Scholarships

INTO provides global youths looking to study at a top university with thousands of scholarships, working side-by-side with universities to provide specialist-degree programs and pathway programmes that allow international students to progress towards a university over time. INTO provides information and assistance in obtaining scholarships from UK, U.S., and international universities, as well as providing support services for students making the leap from their home country to a foreign destination. One of INTO’s most valuable scholarship packages on offer is that of the INTO University of East Anglia Foundation Pathways Scholarships, of which there are two.

The University of East Anglia offers scholarships for students entering the university under the INTO Foundation Pathways program and for students in the Progression program for transitioning from Pathways into a UEA degree program. These scholarships are open to all students, regardless of what their financial circumstances indicate. As these scholarships offer different awards and are subject to different conditions of acceptance, each will be considered separately here.

First, the Scholarships for Pathway Programmes International Foundation Scholarship is awarded to students commencing study at UEA on the International Foundation Pathways program in both September 2017 and January 2018 intake dates. It awards a full 100% of the tuition fees of the International Foundation Program, dividing that up equally between the International Foundation tuition fees and the first year of tuition fees at UEA (upon qualifying for the following Progression Program). Consequently, it provides students with a path from Foundation straight through to Progression. Ten scholarships are available each year, spread over eight deadline dates including: 29 May 2017, 12 June 2017, 10 July 2017, 14 August 2017, 30 Oct 2017, and 27 Nov 2017. This scholarship requires an application, which can be found at http://www.intostudy.com/Portals/2/Downloads/Application-forms/UK/UEA-foundation-scholarship-form.pdf along with a 200-word personal statement to be mailed with the application to into@uea.ac.uk. Awards are merit-based and decided by a panel of scholarship judges based on English-language qualifications and academic scores.

INTO UEA are also offering scholarships for Newton A-level students starting their courses in September 2017 and January 2018. Although these scholarships only pay for 50% of tuition fees, they are unlimited in number, unlike the International Foundation Scholarship with only ten awards available. This scholarship is awarded with consideration of school grades in maths and English or other relevant subjects to the intended course of study. Moreover, a scholarship interview is required. Scholarship candidates are instructed to email newton@uea.ac.uk, providing their INTO Application ID.
