Beyoncé (yes the singer) offers four Formation Scholarships

Amazing news for fans of Beyonce! Four lucky women at Boston’s Berklee College of Music, Howard University, Parsons School of Design, and Spelman College will get the chance to receive one of the singer’s “Formation Scholars”. The “Formation Scholars” are available for the 2017-2018 academic year. The students, in order to be eligible have to be studying literature, African-American studies, music, or creative arts. The main purpose of these scholarships is to offer a huge support for your women who are confident, creative, and are not afraid to think outside the box. The scholarships will be awarded to female incoming, current or even graduate stduents pursuing the above mentioned studies. Let’s see which are the requirements of each college involved:

Berklee College of Music

This fall, the college will provide a Beyoncé Knowles-Carter Formation Scholars Award to an incoming or continuing female undergraduate or graduate student who is studying at one of Berklee’s campuses in Massachusetts, Boston, or Valenica –Spain. The application is now available to those who are studying at Berklee Online, Berklee College of Music, and Boston Conservatory at Berklee. The deadline is May 15. The students, along with their applications have to submit a short essay that states how Beyoncé’s album „Lemonade” has inspired them.

Howard University

Incoming, current or graduate students who share an interest in creative arts, music, literature and, African-American studies and have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher are eligible. Applicants must also submit a short 300-word essay explaining how Lemonade inspired their educational goals. Each application has to include the student’s full name, class year, and Howard University student ID number, and must be received by the Office of Financial Aid by Friday, May 26, 2017 at 3 p.m. EST. Spellman College

Spellman College has the opportunity to select one 2017 Formation Scholar, awarded in the amount of $25.000 to encourage young ladies who are not afraid to express themselves and their creativity. Read the instructions and apply for a Formation Scholar below. We wish you the best of luck!

Parsons School of Design

The scholarships is open to all full-time female Parsons students studying in Paris or New York.  This scholarship will be awarded at the start of the fall 2017 semester. Read the instructions carefully and then apply for it.

The lucky ladies studying at Boston’s Berklee College of Music, Howard University, Parsons School of Design, and Spelman College will be awarded individually an amount of $25.000. The female students will be selected based on their scores, essays, and the programs they share are interest in. The programs are as it follows: music, literature, arts, or African – American studies.
